Sri Kantamneni grew up in Iowa, surrounded by agriculture and food. In his early teens, his father, who was disabled, started a business. “I watched, from a young age, the courage it took for my deaf father to begin his own business; the hard work and discipline of running it, and the integrity he had to grow, train and mentor talent,” said Kantamneni.
Leveraging all that he had learned in his father’s business, Kantamneni joined a large agriculture and food company where he gained global exposure. A year ago, he was asked to join Schreiber Foods as the senior vice president and chief information and digital officer.
“I was humbled to be able to take all of my previous experiences and learnings to help drive Schreiber’s continued success and growth, leveraging technology to enable our partners and customers to grow, and to disrupt and transform an industry that is so integral for humanity to thrive,” Kantamneni said.
Schreiber Foods strives to do good through food every day. Based in North America, the company is a customer-brand leader in cream cheese, natural cheese, process cheese, aseptic beverages and yogurt. The company has a presence on five continents.
Kantamneni sad there are a few things that are critical to the passion he has for this business. “First, the tremendous people that I have the privilege to work with every day,” he said. “For me, this is about maintaining a culture and value system that makes coming to work fun for everyone all the time.”
He said he is also a constant learner. “Whether it’s through books, networking with people I can learn from or a genuine curiosity for whatever I’m engaged in, the thirst to learn and the curiosity to understand brings a phenomenal excitement and enthusiasm for what I do,” said Kantamneni.
This passion guides him as the company is embarking on a two-phased transformation journey. “It’s about being both brilliant at the basics, while also figuring out how to do the things we need to do more efficiently, effectively and leveraging the most modern and cutting edge technology, people and processes to modernize the core of our company,” said Kantamneni. “The future of work is absolutely transforming right beneath our feet.”
His willingness to transform has resulted in accolades throughout his career, including recognition as a finalist for the 2023 Orbie Awards in Wisconsin for Global Enterprises and as the CIO of the Year.
For his passion to empower others while making an impact in the industry, Kantamneni has been named a titan.
