FBC Remodel

Location: Denver

Founded: 1997

Industry: Construction

Since becoming a Titan 100, Patrick Condon’s biggest accomplishment in the past year has been expanding his firm’s markets and exceeding revenue expectations. “Our team is our biggest strength, and we are proud to say that we carry a culture that is truly represented by our team every day,” said Condon. “We set goals and we follow them; we always strive for the best and we are always a team first.”

Condon leads his company based on the Joy Formula. “It’s derived from the company’s purpose of not only creating beautiful designs for homes but also improving the lives of homeowners through custom plans based on their values and lifestyle,” said Condon. “It has also created a culture of growth-driven people that want to improve all areas of their lives.”

In 1997, Condon opened his first company dubbed The Finished Basement and quickly was named one of the top 10 fastest growing companies in Colorado. What was once a one-man band company operating out of a van, Condon’s business, now named FBC Remodel, is a well-known residential design and remodeling firm.

FBC Remodel has won several culture awards, including the 2019 Best and Brightest Places to Work and Outside’s Best Places to Work in 2018 and 2019. Condon was also honored as the past president of the YPO and EO organizations.

In the past year, Condon said his biggest leadership lesson learned has been involvement. “I saw the biggest shift in the dynamic of the team when I included myself in team outings, shared my goals and vulnerabilities, and included myself in team reflections,” he said. “Getting involved with the team more has made a huge improvement in the dynamic, and I am so proud to be a part of such an amazing group.”

Condon said he has also focused on being present for his team. “I often meet with team members one-on-one to make sure they are in a good headspace and support them as much as I can,” he said. “I have made myself available for any employee who needs guidance, or just a shoulder to lean on when they feel overwhelmed.”

As a leader, Condon derives motivation from the collaboration with other titans, too.
“The recognition as a Titan 100 means that I am heading in the right direction as a leader,” said Condon. “It motivated me to be better for the team, for the company and for the communities around us; the greatest value of this platform is the push for continuous improvement within our greatest passion.”
