One pivotal moment in Paige Goss’ entrepreneurial journey happened when she decided to sell a minority share of her company, Point Solutions Group, to three key employees.
“This strategic move not only infused the organization with tremendous leadership but also paved the way for new lines of business and tremendous growth,” said Goss. “The profound sense of pride stemmed from the realization that I had built something valuable – something that others saw potential in, and it was a testament to the hard work and dedication I had invested in the business.”
Launched in 2017, Point Solutions Group (PSG) is an information technology and engineering professional services, women-owned small business that operates with a simple guiding mantra: Work smart. Deploy the best people. Keep all data secure. Always provide customers with an efficient “less is more” approach.
The experience of selling minority shares of her company taught Goss the importance of humility and acknowledgment that others excel in areas where she is not the strongest, she said. “Embracing this reality, I learned to truly let go and let them shine,” said Goss. “It was a lesson in delegation, trust and opportunity to foster a more dynamic and resilient organization.”
A Hall of Fame Titan 100, Goss said that hard work is the backbone of the company. “We use our dedication and perseverance to show what is possible, not what is in the way,” she said. “We also try to balance our hard work with accountability, where responsibility and transparency are not just expected but celebrated, and this culture extends beyond our internal teams to the external organizations I am involved with.”
As a female, openly lesbian entrepreneur, Goss said that she hopes her legacy is defined by the trails blazed by the generations that follow.
“I want my legacy to be defined as one of resilience, courage and the unwavering belief that everyone, irrespective of gender or sexual orientation, deserves the right to pursue their dreams without barriers,” she said. “My journey, marked by both challenges and triumphs, was truly one initially created for my kids, and a career I hope women and members of the LGBTQIA+ community can follow with pride.”
When guiding the next generation of titans, Goss advises to embrace the power you hold to shape the industry and lives of the people in your community. “Push boundaries relentlessly and lean into things that might be unknown or outside of your comfort zone,” said Goss.
