urban-gro Inc. provides architectural and engineering facility design, cultivation systems integration and operational support for cannabis and food-focused indoor controlled environment agriculture. The company aims to design high-performance CEA facilities to support the production of plant-based medicines and localized crops to benefit communities across the globe.
Since he became a Titan 100 in 2022, Hall of Fame inductee Nattrass said his proudest accomplishment has been the successful execution of the company’s acquisition and diversification strategy. This pivot has been integral to the firm’s success over the past couple of years as the Controlled Environment Agriculture sector, which had represented more than 90% of the business, has struggled due to market conditions.
“By strategically positioning urban-gro as market agnostic and focusing our company on a variety of different sectors, not only has this strategy worked to mitigate risk and broaden revenue streams, but it’s also allowed us to optimize resource allocation and gain significant operational efficiencies,” said Nattrass.
In the next five years, Nattrass said it’s his goal to continue building out multi-sector professional services and lean into expertise in the Controlled Environment Agriculture space, establishing the company as a go-to-market leader.

Looking ahead as a mentor of the next generation of titans, Nattrass said he often advises the next generation to embrace change. “It’s always important to stay nimble, adapt, and follow the data, but most importantly, don’t be afraid of change,” he said. “If a strategic initiative is not working as anticipated, don’t hesitate to pivot, change focus and try something new. By effectively being able to navigate challenges and seize opportunities, we embrace the experience of ‘writing the story as we go’ without losing sight of our core principles and guiding values.”
