In the past year since Ginger Kochmer was named a Titan 100, she focused on completing the 10K Small Business program through Goldman Sachs. “When you are running your own company, you are just moving through your day, completing the things that are on fire,” said Kochmer. “This program made me take the time to step outside my business, take a closer look at what we were doing well, what we needed to change, how we were going to grow, create a stronger core with the staff and put together a growth strategy for the future.”
As the president and chief executive officer of Clutch, Kochmer’s vision for the future includes expanding into multiple markets starting in Nashville, Kansas City and Oklahoma City. “We continue to see the digital media industry grow in these markets, and being that we are a specialized staffing agency, we can support these organizations that are moving into these markets,” said Kochmer. “It’s important to us that we continue to be leaders in our field and have the best and most relevant talent in the market.”
Clutch specializes in providing invaluable support to small and mid-size businesses seeking to bolster their workforce and expand their internal teams. The firm’s commitment to excellence is evident in its diverse range of digital, creative, and marketing resources available on both a temporary, temporary-to-hire, and direct-hire basis.
When she started her company, Kochmer said that the firm strived to be the go-to resource in digital, creative, and marketing and that philosophy has continued. “Clients choose us over our competitors because we do things differently, and we take a consultative approach to our clients’ needs and expectations,” she said. “We love what we do, and it shows with each and every placement we make in the U.S., Canada and U.K.”
This year has also led Kochmer to expand mentorship opportunities, working with local universities from around the U.S. with the firm’s internship program. “This has been a great farming program for us, and it gives us the ability to identify new talent while making sure that it’s a good match for us and for them,” she said.
As a leader, Kochmer said the last year has prompted her to learn that she cannot do everything herself. “I have always known that I can’t do everything myself, but this year made me take a deeper look at how to share responsibility, promote from within, giving myself and the company the ability to grow,” she said. “Taking the time to invest in my business and the needs of my business has made our team stronger from new employees to our executive team.”
