Corinne Persichetti - Goodness Bowls

Corinne Persichetti

Co-Founder & COO

Goodness Bowls

Location: Villanova, PA

Founded: 2019

Industry: Franchisor

A self-professed foodie, Corinne Persichetti was in college when she gained exposure to the restaurant business. Two days after graduation, at the age of 21, Persichetti opened her own store with her own processes, values and branding.

Goodness Bowls is a healthy eats café that offers made-to-order foods and beverages using locally sourced, fresh ingredients that are kind to the body in an environment that’s good for the soul. With instant success selling bowls, smoothies, and juices, Persichetti and her mother and co-founder Susan decided to add market items from local small businesses that reflected their mission of doing good.

What began as a seasonal business, the two decided to open a year-round location in Villano, Pennsylvania, ultimately adopting a franchise model. The introduction of juicing programs began in 2023, and Persichetti also began to support and mentor women in business by partnering with female entrepreneurs.

“Corinne, the visionary chief operating officer of Goodness Bowls, stands as a beacon of inspiration in the health food industry,” said Persichetti’s staff. “Her unwavering dedication to promoting healthy eating habits and fostering a sense of community sets her apart as a true titan in her field.”

A key strength of Persichetti’s, according to her staff, is her leadership style which reflects her values of inclusivity and compassion. “She has cultivated a team that shares her vision of making a difference through food, fostering a work environment that thrives on collaboration and creativity,” they said. “Her ability to empower her employees and nurture their talents has been instrumental in the success of Goodness Bowls, creating a culture of excellence that extends beyond the kitchen.”

According to Persichetti, essential attributes of successful leaders are empathy, listening skills, the ability to embrace diverse perspectives, and the desire to create cultures built on hard work, collaboration, and trust.

“I don’t take it for granted that I am an example to a younger generation and my demographic and employees fall into that age group,” she said. “I feel a sense of responsibility to demonstrate that setbacks are not failures but opportunities to develop resilience. Hard work and kindness are just good practice.”

Patience is crucial in business, said Persichetti. “Patience is an essential component of strategic planning, decision making and leadership, and is an asset as I try to build my business for the long term,” she said. “This skill has allowed me to develop stronger relationships with my employees, customers, and vendors, and fostered loyalty, trust, and a positive brand reputation.”
