Brian Corcodilos’s journey commenced during his college years when he initiated his startup right from his dorm room. This modest beginning laid the groundwork for what would eventually evolve into an enterprise within the competitive realms of architecture and real estate.
“From those early days in his dorm room, Brian leveraged his passion for architecture coupled with a sharp business acumen to establish Designblendz,” said his colleagues. “The firm quickly distinguished itself by merging traditional architectural services with groundbreaking 3D technology.”
Designblendz specializes in architecture, engineering, interior design, 3D CGI visualization, and development services with a mission to develop solutions for the built world by leveraging 3D virtual environments. The company has grown, now boasting a team of 25 highly skilled professionals, and has earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 List as one of the fastest-growing companies in Philadelphia for four consecutive years.
Under Corcodilos’ leadership, the firm has incorporated advanced 3D visualization tools into the firm’s office and Corcodilos has not only enhanced the design process but also revolutionized marketing, pre-selling and leasing strategies for real estate.
Looking forward, the firm is poised for an expansion that will solidify its position as a leader in the architecture and 3D visualization industries. Under Corcodilos’ guidance, Designblendz plans to expand into new regional markets across the nation, expand the employee base and acquire new office spaces. Another exciting development in the growth plan is the introduction of augmented reality experiences for buildings.
“Through his entrepreneurial journey, Brian Corcodilos has demonstrated that true leadership is not just about managing a successful business but also about reimagining and reshaping the future of an industry,” said his staff. “His entrepreneurial spirit, combined with unwavering dedication to innovation and quality, continues to propel Designblendz to new heights, influencing the industry and setting new benchmarks for success.”
According to his staff, it’s Corcodilos’ client-first business mind approach to the architecture profession that sets him apart from other firms.
As a leader, Corcodilos said it’s imperative to have soft skills and visualize the future to visualize it for your team. “I have a non-emotional ability to break down complex strategies and see potential outcomes better than most,” he said. “And, then to empower a team to execute the vision is where it all happens.”
If he could give his younger self advice, it would be to embrace failure. “You are going to fail often,” he said. “Embrace it and try to fail more each day because the only way to learn is through failure.”
