Inspired by a family of entrepreneurs, after years of working for advertising agencies, a PR firm, and a sports commission, Holly Clifford Corral decided it was time to go out on her own. She and her husband, Kit Corral, built strong networks and landed their first client, a volleyball event organization. The two worked with the organization, traveled around the country to events for 12 years and projected the growth trajectory of PRESS PR + Marketing forward.
PRESS PR + Marketing is a public relations and marketing firm that is built around a diversity of thought, perspective and experience that directly impacts how it approaches work. That variety of viewpoints and ideas is what makes our work so unexpected and impactful, said Clifford Corral. We challenge ourselves and one another, ask questions, and care about our partners and the goals they set. We dig deeper not to simply identify the targets our partners are reaching but to identify with them.
Clients come to PRESS because of its positive reputation, proven track record of success, and the teams relationships with the media which have taken years to build, said Clifford Corrals staff. Beyond that though, PRESS national clients have chosen to work with the agency because of the genuine, good-hearted, and honest nature of the president and chief executive officer, Holly Clifford Corral.
Clifford Corral is well-known in the community not just for her work and the success of her business, but because of how she treats people, said her staff. She takes life with a light-hearted approach, but is a lion when it comes to growing, expanding and bettering the business, they said. When Holly wants something, she will do whatever it takes to get that thing, regardless of how much work she needs to put in. She is bullish in her approach and doesnt take no for an answer.
Her approach has led to accolades and recognition for Clifford Corral and her firm. She is known for developing a successful sportsmanship campaign, Check Yourself, for the NHL and Tampa Bay Lighting, the firm was awarded two PRSA prestige awards, and Clifford Corral was a nominee for business woman of the year.
Starting the company from the ground up 17 years ago was the most important and rewarding risk, she said. I decided to leave a well-paying, secure job to start our company without knowing where our first client would come from or if anyone would want to do business with us, but we had confidence in the fact that we were very good at marketing and that we had established enough positive relationships throughout the years that we could tap into for immediate business.
