Mike LaMartina

Chief Operating Officer

Ballpark Village

Location: St. Louis, MO

Founded: 2014

Industry: Entertainment/Hospitality

Mike LaMartina, a Titan 100 Hall of Fame Inductee, has continued to pursue professional growth through expansion of his role as the chief operating officer of Ballpark Village beyond the St. Louis Market. His work includes taking on the National Partnerships portfolio for Live! Hospitality and Entertainment that welcomes over 55 million guests annually across 17+ markets in the United States.

“This additional leadership role affords me the opportunity to collaborate with leading brands to engage strategically with millions of guests in dynamic sports, restaurant, casino and entertainment destinations across the United States,” said LaMartina. “While my background and experience has aided in the evolution of my own growth in this function, the ability to leverage it for company growth and team member development has been incredibly rewarding.”

Hired as the chief revenue officer in early 2019, LaMartina brought with him more than 18 years of experience in the entertainment, marketing, media and hospitality industries. He was responsible for marketing, sponsorship and leasing initiatives for the first phase of the dining and entertainment district, as well as the $260 million expansion that was completed last year as part of the second phase of Ballpark Village.

Promoted to COO in 2021, LaMartina oversees the revenue strategy, retail leasing operations, event and property marketing, sponsorship sales, community, and brand partnerships for the development.

As a leader, LaMartina said his key corporate values surround fostering and supporting a team mentality. “As a leader, it is my responsibility not to tell people what to do, but to perform in the manner I expect out of those working with and alongside me as we would on any playing field in sport,” he said. “I take the value of team mentality and further adopt a nothing below and nothing above mentality, operating in a manner that exhibits that there is no task, assignment or function of our business that is below my willingness or ability to perform, but nothing above my aspirations or challenges that I am hesitant to take on or approach.”

LaMartina said he believes in rolling up his sleeves while not standing down in the face of challenges. It’s a legacy he would like to leave behind. “Be humble, work hard and treat people fairly and never underestimate the value of relationships,” said LaMartina. “I would like to think my legacy would be one recognized by a work ethic that faced any challenge with grit and determination, while approaching everything with a humble approach that was not from a place of always having the answers.”

For his humble approach to leadership, LaMartina has been inducted into the Titan 100 Hall of Fame.
