Industry: Healthcare - Revenue Cycle Management

Lisa Rock launched nimble solutions 20 years ago, and today, many of the employees who were hired for entry-level positions at that time are now leading the company. “When I say my greatest accomplishment is having the best team in place to ensure my company is successful, I can’t think of a better example or proof of concept than what our people achieved in the acquisitions and rebrand process and now how they are bringing all our staff together to evolve our company culture,” said Rock.

This accomplishment, and many more, have led to Rock’s induction into the Titan 100 Hall of Fame as the president of nimble solutions.

nimble solutions, formerly National Medical, is the industry-leading provider of revenue cycle management solutions for ambulatory surgery centers, surgical clinics, surgical hospitals and anesthesia groups. From managed care contracting and front-end services to transcription, coding, billing and chart management software, nimble’s total RCM solution helps clients navigate the nuances of the surgical revenue cycle so they can get paid more and get paid faster.

Within the healthcare industry as a whole, there’s a lot of room for improvement, said Rock. “The reason I started nimble solutions was to improve the complicated, stressful medical billing processes that patients experience and the legacy I want to leave is one that continues to improve the patient experience,” she said.

Rock has strived to foster an environment at nimble solutions that helps people grow. “I’ve worked internally with my executive team to foster an environment of leadership by committee as a method to develop future leaders within my company and also leave my company in capable hands,” she said.

Looking forward to the next five years, Rock said she wants the company to be the most admired company to work for. “We’re leaders in our industry because we listen to the problems our clients are facing and come up with solutions,” she said. “We say that we measure our success by our clients’ financial results – if the technology doesn’t exist, we build it and if our processes need to be improved, we upgrade them.”

Involving the company’s leadership team in opportunities to mentor staff and participate in local charities has also been key for growth, said Rock. “Service has always been at the center of my heart, personally and professionally,” she said. “Paying it forward to the next generation helps our community thrive, and I hope to lead by example in how we can all make an impact locally.”
