Co-Founder & President

jBloom

Location: St. Peters, MO

Founded: 2013

Industry: Direct Sales

Jennifer Bonacorsi was a special education teacher who transitioned to a Stay at Home Mother to raise her four daughters. While raising her girls, she discovered a love for making jewelry. “She began to make her own jewelry and others started buying the designs she was wearing,” said her staff. “Soon, others asked if they could sell it, too.”

Bonacorsi and her husband built a structure that could allow others to have their own business, too, ultimately launching jBloom.

jBloom is a direct selling jewelry company with a mission to invest in the lives of its designers and families. “We strive to celebrate everyone who is part of jBloom while equipping them to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of others,” said Bonacorsi. “Jewelry is the tool we use to make that happen.”

Under Bonacorsi’s leadership, the firm has helped more than 1,800 women start their own jewelry businesses in 47 states. The company began in Bonacorsi’s basement and has evolved to secure a 40,000 square foot building to host the corporate office and warehouse. The firm has also been recognized as a top 50 fast growing company in St. Louis and Bonacorsi has received the Future 50 Award twice from the St. Louis Small Business Monthly.

“At jBloom, we have a culture of lifting each other up and cheering each other on,” she said. “My favorite quote is that ‘a flower doesn’t compete with the flower next to it; it just BLOOMS.’”

Moving forward, Bonacorsi plans to get to 5,000 designers over the next two years in all 50 states. The launch of PermaLinx permanent jewelry has set this plan in motion. “It was a trend that started on Tik Tok and we created an easier, mobile, secure system that allows us to market it to the masses,” she said. “This new line is something individuals, boutique owners, salon owners and many others are looking to add.”

Bonacorsi is also passionate about giving back. She has donated over 20,000 necklaces to Basket of Hope, a local St. Louis charity. “Her heart to help others is what makes her stand out among other presidents or CEOs,” said her staff. “She takes time to listen to stories of all of her designers and not just those that are top producers.

Because Bonacorsi treats her staff like family, she has had virtually zero turnover in the last four years. “This is largely because people love working for her and jBloom and the family environment she has created,” said her staff. “She is a people person first and lets the business side take care of itself.”

For her commitment to empowering others and the community, Bonacorsi has been named a titan.

My superpower is I lead by example. I am also very present. At our conferences or rewards trips, I try to memorize names so that when I meet them for the first time, they feel special when I already know who they are.
