Farica Chang was born in St. Louis as the first child of immigrants from Hong Kong who worked hard as entrepreneurs to provide opportunities for the new generation. As one of a handful of students accepted to UCLA from the Midwest, Chang graduated with honors and moved back to St. Louis during the height of the 2008 financial crisis.
She began working at Anderson Technologies as a part-time contractor and quickly progressed to project manager, director and ultimately, a partner managing the entire firm. “Farica is focused on continued growth for Anderson Technologies to achieve the company’s vision to remove limitations and positively impact more lives in the community through technology,” said her colleagues.
Anderson Technologies provides technology consulting services ranging from IT assessments to cybersecurity and managed IT support. The firm enables organizations to scale their business and reduce risks by partnering with them to deliver solutions that assess, innovate, protect and manage their most critical technology and IT systems.
Since Chang has become a partner, the company has more than doubled in size, employing almost 40 people. Revenue has increased an average of over 40 to 60 percent year over year. Due to an emphasis on strategic marketing and focus under her leadership, Anderson Technologies and Anderson Archival are beginning to emerge from a small, referral-based business approach to becoming brands recognized throughout St. Louis and the country for outstanding technical consultation, support and project delivery.
Under Chang’s leadership, the firm now serves clients in over 28 states and has been recognized as one of the Best IT Firms and Best Cybersecurity Firms in the area by the Small Business Monthly. Anderson Technologies was also awarded the Future 50 recognition and Chang has been recognized as a No. 1 international best selling author for her contribution to the book “Tenacity: The Deconstructing G.R.I.T. Collection.”
