The three leadership lessons that struck a chord with Sweta Sneha this year are to be kind, be fearless and lead with integrity. As the executive director of Healthcare Management and Informatics at Kennesaw State University, she has learned that true leaders enable success for others.

A leader in innovative teaching and learning, Kennesaw State University is one of the 50 largest public institutions in the country, offering more than 150 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees to its nearly 41,000 students. With 13 colleges on two metro-Atlanta campuses, Kennesaw State is a member of the University System of Georgia and the third-largest university in the state.

This year marked a new milestone in Sneha’s journey since founding and leading Healthcare Management and Informatics at Kennesaw State University over a decade ago. The second-year Titan 100 led the program to see record growth – almost 230% growth since last year – and an expansion to Western Europe, Canada, UK, Africa and Asia. The program’s footprint on workforce and economic development on Health Tech in Georgia surpassed over 250 personnel across at least 25 organizations.

Sneha’s efforts led to recognition as the tech leader of the year by the Technology Association of Georgia, and she was invited to be on the panel of executives and leaders in Health Tech to recognize and allocate VC funds to mid-level startups at Conv2X. Sneha was honored as a winner of Women in Technology in 2022 and accepted as a fellow to the Academy of Higher Education Leadership.

“This year has been rewarding and has challenged me to go beyond my doubts and fears in a way I never thought was possible,” said Sneha. “As an immigrant who came to the “Promised Land” to pursue an undergraduate in computer science, my journey is still unfinished, but it’s heartwarming to see how far I have come in giving back to the community that accepted me with open arms, how the vision of HMI has taken roots and how many lives have been positively impacted with a growing number of graduates building a life they aspired for.”

In addition to her role at the university, Sneha has continued to invest her time as a mentor, serving as a mentor at the Innovation Academy for young bright girls who are ready to take on the world with their grit, passion and work ethics. “The next generation of titans will come from all walks of life with the tenacity to question the current state of affairs, the fearlessness to make the change happen and bring diversity, equity and inclusion to a new light,” said Sneha. “It is our fiduciary responsibility to invest in building the next generation of titans.”
