At the age of 15, Ben Weiss co-founded CoinFlip with his childhood friend while they both were in college. They recognized the growing appetite for crypto; however, it was difficult to purchase bitcoin, despite considering themselves tech savvy.
“Putting themselves in their future customers’ shoes, they discovered they could use bitcoin ATMs to resemble a traditional ATM experience,” said his colleagues. “Leveraging cash to crypto ATMs, they set out on a mission to offer a simple, safe and secure onramp to the digital economy.”

The company operates the world’s largest network of cryptocurrency ATMs by transaction volume with over 4,500 kiosks across 49 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Italy, Panama and Brazil supporting the buying and selling of major cryptocurrencies with cash.

Weiss has also focused on inclusivity throughout his time as a leader in the cryptocurrency industry. “I started the company with my parents in mind, who weren’t familiar with the digital assets space,” he said. “It’s important for me to provide services that help make the on-ramp to crypto simple, safe and accessible for our customers.”
In order to reignite his passion, Weiss said he said he relies on his team members’ ingenuity. “I firmly believe and encourage my team to remember that great ideas come from all corners of the room,” he said. “I actively encourage my employees to share ideas and seek out real world problems we can help fix together.”
