Lance Keller

Lance Keller's career in the construction field began after earning his Bachelor of Science in construction management from Northern Arizona University. He gained valuable experience working for a homebuilding company and later joined KB Home, where he climbed the corporate ladder to become a division senior vice president.

Keller's entrepreneurial spirit and desire for greater autonomy led him to start his own venture. In 2003, he became a shareholder and president of Elite Communities, a Phoenix homebuilding company that experienced rapid growth and recognition under his leadership.

“One of the biggest sacrifices leaders make is time away from family and friends,” Keller said. “Early in my career in corporate homebuilding, I left to start my own company. It was the biggest and most important risk I’ve taken. At the time, I thought I had all the answers. Thankfully, I had exceptional mentors along the way that helped me navigate challenges. I now know that the real risk is in the things you don’t know that can and will happen. I now also understand how much experience and talent matter. I’ve surrounded myself with a talented team to turn to for counsel. The key is learning when to listen.”

Like other companies in the building and construction sector, Keller faced the challenges of the 2009 recession, which forced him to close Elite Communities. Undeterred, he embarked on a new endeavor and founded Lifestyle Homes in 2010. Initially focusing on custom homes and infill communities, Keller expanded the company's scope to include both residential and commercial construction projects. Through his leadership, Lifestyle Homes has earned a reputation for delivering quality construction and establishing strong relationships with partners, suppliers and subcontractors.

Keller's forward-thinking approach and ability to navigate market fluctuations have contributed to the steady growth of Lifestyle Homes. Keller foresees expansion into states such as Texas, Georgia, North Carolina and Florida in the coming years.

Under Keller's guidance, Lifestyle Homes has experienced a 94% increase in revenues over the past four years. The company now manages the construction of over 2,000 homes and 11 communities, and its client base has expanded to include leading developers in the build-for-rent community sector.

Keller's expertise and industry insights have made him a sought-after speaker and panel moderator for various industry organizations and events. That includes the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona, Arizona Builders Exchange and Information Management Network forum, where he leads discussions on the trends in build-for-rent communities and the challenges and opportunities for developers and trade partners. Keller was also recognized by Arizona Commercial Real Estate Magazine as a People To Know honoree in the commercial real estate industry.
