Jesse Burrell took the unusual step of shutting down a company that was generating millions to pursue his dream and open real estate technology firm BatchService.

“At the time it was hard to be willing to walk away from something so comfortable, but I knew if I wanted to grow BatchService to something big, I needed to put all my focus and effort into operationalizing and scaling the company,” he said.

BatchService is a real estate data and software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider that uses real-time property intelligence to help businesses identify opportunities and engage with property owners, investors and agents. Today, BatchService's solutions, including BatchSkipTracing, BatchLeads and BatchDialer, are used by over 15,000 businesses to organize lists, generate leads, evaluate properties and streamline operations. Headquartered in Tempe, the company has nearly 250 employees in 13 countries.

Burrell and his co-founders built BatchService from the ground up, leveraging their expertise in real estate investing and their shared desire to address the data limitations in the industry. What started as a pursuit to find better leads and tools for their own real estate businesses evolved into a full-fledged real estate data and SaaS provider.

In the coming years, Burrell envisions BatchService refining its data collection and delivery methods to better serve businesses in the real estate industry. The company is consolidating its product brands into a unified presence under BatchService and focusing on education as a competitive differentiator, the company said. Through a free digital community forum, interactive challenges, educational courses and regional user conferences, BatchService aims to foster a community of real estate professionals who can learn from and support each other.

Under Burrell’s leadership as CEO, BatchService has earned the 2023 HousingWire Tech100 award and a place on the 2023 Inc. Regionals list of the fastest-growing companies in America. Burrell is a frequent webinar and podcast guest, with appearances on some of the leading real estate investing podcasts, including “Wholesaling Inc.,” “Real Estate Disruptors” and “The Wealthy Way Podcast,” among others.
