AriAnne Berberian

Co-CEO
ITC Manufacturing

Location: Tempe
Founded: 1993
Industry: Manufacturing

AriAnne Berberian is the co-CEO of ITC Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer of wire mesh products in the material handling and storage industry.

Berberian has taken on several roles within ITC Manufacturing. She joined the company at age 19 as a receptionist, and she rose through the ranks to manage departments and major accounts. Her dedication and willingness to tackle any task earned her the respect of her colleagues and helped her ascend to leadership positions.

In 2014, Berberian was promoted to chief operating officer. As COO, she oversaw the day-to-day operations of ITC Manufacturing's facilities across the country. She also served as an advisor to two different CEOs. Berberian’s commitment to the company and her extensive experience made her a fit for the role of co-CEO when it became available in 2022.

Berberian envisions a future where ITC Manufacturing continues to grow and expand its presence in the market. She emphasizes the importance of placing a heightened focus on the company's most valuable asset — its team members.

She plans to prioritize training and development for manufacturing employees, enabling them to advance in the company. She hopes to shift the mindset of keeping talented individuals confined to specific roles, encouraging their growth and contribution in new areas.

"I believe that effective communication skills are one of the most important attributes of a successful leader,” Berberian said. “Being able to communicate effectively helps leaders build strong relationships with their team members, motivate them and lead them to achieve the goals of the company. In contrast, poor communication can lead to low morale.

“One thing I have learned in my career is that when employees are not communicated to, it opens the door to gossip and rumors. A leader must control the narrative by being transparent and delivering all messages, good and bad.”

As co-CEO, Berberian led the company to its largest sales and best financial performance in history. The company's revenue has grown by 150% since 2018, and the workforce has expanded from 200 to a high of 525 employees in 2022. She managed these changes while navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2017, Berberian received the "Face of Supply Chain" award from the Material Handling Industry (MHI), honoring her dedication and contributions to the supply chain field. She was invited to speak as a panel member at the Wells Fargo Women Business Leaders luncheon, where she shared her story and provided guidance to female aspiring leaders.

I have a fraternal twin brother that I am extremely close to. Growing up I had a built in best friend and constant companion. We were in the same class every year in school except for the 1st grade. My parents thought they would try it out for fear of us not developing our own identities but this proved to not be a good fit. We missed each other too much!As often happens in high school we went down separate paths as we each found our own unique identity and sets of friends. My brother moved out of state to go to college and this distance actually drew us closer together. We have been extremely close ever since and we now share time together with our families.
