Karl Falk transitioned out of the Air Force in 2004 into emerging technology consulting. He started Botdoc in response to the state of the mortgage industry after 2008. At that time, 63% of all applications for assistance on defaulted mortgages were declined and the number one reason for decline was incomplete or inaccurate application packages.
Botdoc offers a better customer experience for healthcare, financial services, automobile, education and insurance industries by allowing the exchange of confidential information simply and securely without the use of pins, passwords, logins, accounts to set up or software/apps to download.
“Falk envisioned that the movement of data should be easier and more secure,” the company said. “He created Botdoc to help disrupt the ‘Secure Digital Transport’ industry and pioneer how all data will be transported in the future. The success of the product in financial services meant healthcare was an obvious opportunity for the company.”
Today, Botdoc is a global leader in secure digital transportation technologies. Powered by patented technologies, Botdoc allows organizations to employ a secure, encrypted channel with consumers to exchange documents, signatures, and payments without the traditional challenges of passwords, apps, logins or plugins.
“In five years, Secure Digital Transport will be the gold standard in automotive, financial, insurance and healthcare, with other industries following suit,” the company said.
Falk is a U.S. Air Force Academy football alum, an Eagle Scout and was honored by former President Bill Clinton in the Oval Office. He sits on the executive board of the Pikes Peak Council of the Boy Scouts. Falk was named one of the Top 5 Most Influential Young Professionals by ColoradoBiz magazine and a Rising Star by the Colorado Springs Business Journal in 2013. Falk speaks across the country at various events in different industries, from finance to healthcare.
“Solving complex problems at Botdoc means willingness to work together,” Falk said. “Nothing gets accomplished in our organization if our team isn’t all working together, so to solve a problem, we meet together, designate responsibilities based on skills and job role and get the unthinkable accomplished.”Falk is a husband and the father of three children. His son, Alec, currently attends the Air Force Academy.
“If you meet him, you know. Karl is a powerhouse people are drawn to in business and social settings,” Falk’s team said. “He is passionate about his family, and you’ll find him on any given weekend coaching soccer games, football, track and volunteering as an assistant scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 6.”
