Adam Hasemeyer began his career as a business development representative at Spire Digital in 2005 and quickly rose through the ranks. Seven years later, Hasemeyer was leading the growth team, which included business development, sales, marketing and technical analysis. Hasemeyer’s leadership changed the trajectory of Spire Digital from a CMS-centric firm to a mobile-first technology consultancy. That transformation led to global consultancy Kin + Carta acquiring the firm.
“One of the biggest risks I’ve taken so far in my career was leading the acquisition and sale of Spire Digital to Kin + Carta,” Hasemeyer said. “I’d worked with Spire Digital since 2005 … growing to become the company’s president and CEO. We had created a successful product development firm with an award-winning culture, yet we knew that we could do more. There was more potential for our employees to learn and grow. There was an opportunity to scale the impact we have on our clients and the communities where we live and work.
“After assessing the market and our options, it was clear that Kin + Carta had a shared value system and would give us the platform to continue our journey to build a world that works better for everyone. My experience amidst the acquisition process and leading across the company since has encouraged me that the risk was worth it — for our clients, our people, and our local communities. We’re now positioned to make a better and larger impact.”
After the sale, Hasemeyer showcased his ability to make operational changes that drive long-term impact, establishing new Latin American delivery regions in Mexico and Colombia. Hasemeyer stepped into the role of west territory leader for Kin + Carta, managing the final integration steps of Spire Digital into Kin + Carta’s operating model.
Hasemeyer led the acquisition of Cascade Data Labs, a strategic investment in the firm’s data capabilities, and increased the west territory’s growth rate through strategic client partnerships. Now in his role as group chief executive officer for the Americas, Hasemeyer leads and develops the region that makes up the largest portion of Kin + Carta’s revenue. He is responsible for overall regional performance, business operations and executing strategy along with collaborating with the global leadership team to define the company’s long-term vision.
Hasemeyer oversaw the completion of independent B Corp Certification in less than six months and launched projects including Face2Face Masks, which distributed hundreds of thousands of masks around Denver, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago and New York; Benevolence Fund, which supported Kin + Carta employees facing financial hardships through the fulfillment of over $239,000 in grants; and Pledge 1%, which held the company accountable for donating 1% of annual profit and 1% of consultant time to local Denver charities.
Hasemeyer is a board member at Pledge 1% Colorado and board member and finance chair of Denver Institute for Faith & Work. He is the executive sponsor of the Kin + Carta philanthropy committee, enabling the firm to donate hundreds of thousands of dollars and establish two region-specific charity partners.
