Owner & Chief Executive Officer
addONE Marketing Services, LLC

Location: Marietta, Georgia
Founded: 1998
Industry: Marketing Staffing & Agency

Melissa Packman has always been at the forefront of finding a way for women to balance work and family. When she resigned from The Coca-Cola Company in 1998 to start her own company, addONE Marketing Services, she was working 12 hours a day as the first employee and at 27, wanted to have a family. She knew it would be tough, but she found a way to do both.

“The initial desire was to create a company where women could continue to work, learn, grow and contribute to their bottom-line while being flexible with hours and projects so they could support their family’s needs,” said Packman. “As the years passed, we added more and more people who were looking for a way to balance work, family and self.”

Twenty-four years later, the niche firm is thriving and has expanded to include a marketing firm. addONE Marketing Services is a premier talent resource for permanent and contract staffing needs. The firm’s solutions have been serving businesses throughout the country since 1998 and includes a talent pool that is made up of a diverse and experienced group of candidates.

Since its inception, addONE Marketing Services has employed over 1,000 people and Packman has launched Level 14 Marketing, a female-owned and operated marketing agency that works alongside the staffing company. “Melissa is a Titan because she has been able to create and sustain a niche marketing business over 24 years in a very competitive market,” said her staff. “She is providing individuals with opportunities that fit their current life needs, as well as helping companies fill staffing and experience gaps in the marketing space.”

Packman’s efforts have been recognized with awards including being named a Top Female Business Owner by Atlanta magazine and has served as a member of Furman University’s Presidents Advisory Board. “Of all of her accomplishments, Melissa is most proud of being able to employ so many people throughout the years – matching their needs with clients’ needs,” said her colleagues.

Finding her success as a leader has included surrounding herself with people who have made her stretch her limits and continue learning. “No idea is a stupid one and you need to let people be heard as you never know what information or wisdom you will gain,” said Packman. “A good leader is also pushing themselves to think and do things differently. You must be constantly challenging yourself, learning and growing.”

Her nickname is Bubbles. She has run two marathons and seven half marathons.
