Terry Crouppen helps others find justice.
Crouppen, the founding partner of Brown & Crouppen, the biggest personal injury law firm in Missouri, said he learned about helping others find justice from his father who was a bail bondsman.
“We provide outstanding legal representation, offer a superior client experience,” Crouppen said. “We help level the playing field so that every person, regardless of their race, gender, orientation, religion, age, or income, can stand on even ground with giant corporations who would otherwise deny them justice.”
Crouppen started his legal career as a public defender and went on to found his own law firm with founding partner Ron Brown in 1979. What started as a small family business, now has offices in Missouri, Illinois, and Kansas.
“We have a team of more than 250 legal professionals who have helped to build Brown & Crouppen’s strong reputation for success, with more than $1 billion awarded and thousands of people helped,” Crouppen said.
Terry had the vision to advertise on television when no other law firm had the courage to take the first step back when law advertising on television became legal decades ago. It was a financial gamble as well as a risk to reputation.
As commonplace as it is today, attorney advertising on television was revolutionary at the time,” Crouppen said. “It created business but it was also a massive education for the public about their legal rights and how to enforce them.”
This trailblazing step opened the court of law to the common person, not just the wealthy. Terry Crouppen built a business that truly leveled the playing field.
And looking ahead, Crouppen said, “We will continue to have the most recognized name in personal injury law in Missouri, we will continue to grow our Emmy award winning online presence nationally, and will double in size, expanding into other markets.”
Aside from being awarded an Icon Award from Missouri Lawyers Media, Crouppen is most proud of his presence in his community. He is an avid supporter of dozens of local non-profit organizations, including Sista Strut, Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure, Annie Malone, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and Habitat for Humanity.
