Vahan V. Oganesyan

President & COO

Billet Health

Location: Glendale, AZ

Founded: 2014

Industry: Healthcare

Every step of his career adds up to the spot where he is now, said Vahan V. Oganesyan, who is eager to do more to see where the path leads next.
“Each step you take, lessons learned, or bridge crossed adds up to set you up for your next step forward,” the President and COO of Billet Health said. “Everything builds upon itself for your success or failures that push you forward. You must drive yourself forward no matter what life throws at you.”
Wit h that mindset, Oganesyan leads Billet Health, a collection of post-acute provider services focused on home care and convenience, resulting in better outcomes for the patient. Billet offers pharmacy, caregiving and clinical services on top of home health and hospice, but the end goal is to extend into other branches of the medical industry.
Oganesyan is originally from Armenia. He came to the U.S. at a young age and has thrown himself into pursuing the American Dream. He started Billet Home Health as one home-health agency in Phoenix in a single 4-foot-by-5-foot office, and today it has evolved into Billet Health, with 10 locations in five states (Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas). Ultimately, the company aims to be a household name across the country.
“Be hungry for more, even after you think you have had life’s main course,” Oganesyan said. “Be the best host (leader) who services those with the same appetite at your table. Stay humble, by recognizing that you are only as good as the weakest member of your team and push them only as hard as you would be willing to push yourself. Never ask your team to do something you’re not willing to do yourself.”
Oganesyan believes in mixing thoughts and ideas from employees in different departments, and no department operates within its own silo, his team said. He opens up discussion to the team about where the company is headed and which steps to take next.
“While Vince may not be the first COO to take this step in a company’s growing process, it does feel as though he is the first to truly listen and retain what his team puts onto the floor,” Oganesyan’s team said. “Billet is not an ordinary healthcare company for this reason.
“He has a way to pull shy individuals out of their shells and pushing them into growing into department leads. That small spark that some hold deep down, his eye catches, and he makes it a personal mission to bring it forward and assist in making their dreams come true.”

Did you know?

Something many wouldn’t guess about Vince would that business is his passion and hobby. He is someone that even when on vacation, he is jotting down notes of ideas he can’t wait to come back and share. There have been many of times in which we joke as an office that we may have to block him from group chats so he takes a moment to enjoy the yearly fishing trip.
