Shortly after college, Jeremiah Foster was the fifth hire at a new startup, a company that saw rapid growth to more than 200 employees. Somewhere along the way, though, the company seemed to lose itself and its soul, he said.
“This is one reason I find values so important in my own company,” said Foster, who today is President and Founder of Resolute. “It’s always been my desire in Resolute to avoid this pitfall. Our origins and who we were at the start are still who we are today. We’ve kept the values we started with and keep our core principles as our North Star. You shouldn’t bait and switch on who you are as an organization.”
Resolute is an independent business advisory firm focused on diagnosing and resolving financial and operations issues for middle-market companies. The Resolute team of industry leaders partners with clients in a range of services, including corporate renewal, receivership, litigation support, expert testimony, business valuation, economic damages calculations, forensic accounting and financial advisory.
Since 2008, Resolute has grown to provide services in 33 states, with a strong presence in the Southwest and Rocky Mountain West regions. Under Foster’s leadership, the company has managed more than $1 billion in distressed assets and sold more than 75 assets/enterprises with a total value of more than $250 million. In 2021, Resolute was named to the upper half of the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing companies.
Of all his accomplishments at Resolute, Foster is most proud of the community and culture that have evolved during the past 14 years. The company contributes to organizations such as the Special Olympics of Arizona, Junior Achievement, Southwest Human Development, Andre House of Arizona and Feed My Starving Children.
Foster serves as a Board Member for Special Olympics of Arizona and is Emeritus Board Member for Junior Achievement of Arizona. Previously, he has served as Chairman of the Board and Member of the State and Central Executive Committees for Junior Achievement of Arizona. Additional board membership experience includes Entrepreneurs’ Organization of Arizona, Christ Church School, Scottsdale Public Art Advisory Board, One5 Foundation, Arizona Town Hall and Downtown Scottsdale Town Hall.
“I enjoy the opportunity to make a difference, and I strive to make the organizations I am involved with better,” Foster said. “The work my team accomplishes at Resolute is rewarding, and I enjoy my charity involvement with Special Olympics and other organizations. In all, my goal is always to contribute positively and offer my true self in everything I do.”
Jerry has been known to drive expensive and exotic cars – as he began his career after college parking cars for celebrity guests like Michael Jordan who were staying at the five-star Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale. While he might not drive Lamborghinis anymore, there’s certainly hope for the future!
