Octavian Security Americas, LLC

Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Industry: Security

Dr. Sukhi Ghuman’s business decisions are driven by diversification and reinvestment. Today his security company, Octavian Security Americas LLC, has a hand in so many industries it’s almost too many to count.

“I have always, in my 20 years of being in business, tried to continually diversify,” he said. “Whether this be in the same sector, by diversifying in offering additional services, to moving to completely new service sectors. It has kept my business fresh, safe and spread my risk. I learned very early on in my entrepreneurial journey that overreliance on any one business is dangerous.”

Octavian is a group of progressive security-led businesses that touches a range of diverse industries, including a software management company, workplace training and development company, workplace/ business safety, IT support and Microsoft-centric business software company, facilities management, education, healthcare clinics, senior living facilities and more. And there are plans in the coming years to add to the roster, further diversifying the businesses.

Dr. Sukhi Ghuman was born and raised in Leicester, England, and graduated from Nottingham Trent University with undergraduate honors in law in 1999. He completed a postgraduate diploma in legal practice in 2000 at De Montfort University and began his career as a trainee lawyer with a regional firm before moving on to corporate law.

In 2003, Ghuman formed Octavian in the U.K. Ghuman’s perseverance and reputation as an international entrepreneur have enabled him to lead successful projects in Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Pakistan, India, Malaysia, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, UAE, Africa, Canada, and the U.S., among others.

In 2013, Ghuman raised £6,500 for Macmillan Cancer Research by completing an accelerated freefall skydive. He founded a nonprofit known as We Support U, in California, to help cancer patients and their families.

In 2014, Ghuman started a tailored doctoral degree program to achieve a Ph.D. That same year, he formed Octavian FM LLC in Phoenix, Arizona, providing security and facility management in the Southwestern U.S., and Octavian Payment Solutions LLC, also in Phoenix, providing merchant processing.

Ghuman later took over management of an arthritis care center in Scottsdale. In 2020, he added a cancer and blood disorders center in Kingman and arthritis care specialists in Phoenix.

“His concentration is on maintaining the importance of training and caring for his clients/customers and employees alike,” his team said. “It is this commitment that strengthens the development of an excellent and supporting leader while creating more opportunities for individuals within the organization and companies alike.”

Ghuman continues to prioritize organic growth, international markets and developing the next generation of talent in his companies.

“I am fanatical about empowering growth within our companies to develop and guide future leaders and entrepreneurs of the future,” he said. “I am always looking for opportunities to invest in our youth and communities locally as well as worldwide. Today’s youth is our future, and I mean to apply myself to sharing my knowledge and services with the world.”

Did you know?

Dr. Ghuman led a consortium that attempted to take over the world's oldest football league club in England then he served on the judging panel for "The Pitch Scotland", a business competition for the fun of it. Dr. Ghuman’s brain is a minefield full of project and ideas, I believe if the day had more hours, Dr. Ghuman would have developed additional companies, serviced and funded more nonprofit organization than he currently does. There is not enough time in the day for all that Dr. Ghuman would like to accomplish. This is his kind of fun, building business and enjoying the American dream.
