Patrick Dennis sees the world as both big and small.

Considered by many to be a corporate transformation expert, Dennis has proven that hard work, leadership, personal drive and simplicity are the building blocks of success.

Dennis, now President and CEO of Aspect Software, discovered early in his career that his business talents and abilities were substantial. Sharpening his skills as Group Vice President for the North American Storage Sales organization at Oracle, Dennis was responsible for leading the go-to market strategy for Oracle’s commercial business in North America. Dennis’ experience also includes becoming the President and CEO of Guidance Software which he drove to a successful acquisition by OpenText. Dennis served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at EMC’s Enterprise and Mid-Range Storage Division and Cloud Management Division, where he was responsible for long-range planning, mergers & acquisitions, and the divisional strategy for those businesses and drove over $1B in growth. Eventually, Dennis moved into an operating executive position at Vector, where he consulted with founders, boards, and private equity partners about strategic planning, restructuring, growth and capital requirements.

Patrick joined Vector as an Operating Executive on the Value Creation Team in 2018 and is serving as President and CEO of Aspect Software.  He led a leveraged buyout of the troubled company in 2019, with funding from Vector Capital, and was installed as CEO. Now that the company is back to financial health the company is poised to grow again and regain its market leadership position.

“We are looking at the best profitability in over five years,” Dennis said.  “I find inefficiencies in business, then hone in on critical solutions.”

Dennis prides himself on thoroughly knowing his customers so he can quickly identify their unique business problems and find innovative ways to provide answers that lead to revenue and profitability.

Known in business as an enterprise software industry titan, Dennis holds a B.S. in Information Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology.  He is a member of the American Economic Association and participates on select boards with Vector Capital. Additionally, Dennis is the author of Aspect Blogs.  His best leadership advice is to keep things small while growing big.
