Kevin Price

Chief Executive Officer

AccuCode

Centennial, CO

Founded: 1995

Industry: Information Technology

In 1995, Kevin Price quit his job on a Friday and started AccuCode, Inc. in the basement of his house with only his credit cards as initial funding. Despite these humble beginnings, Price’s foresight and tenacity has resulted in AccuCode’s success as a global market leader in multiple technology categories, supporting some of the largest organizations in the world.

“AccuCode has managed to stay ahead of the curve, one technology disruption cycle after another,” said Price. The company has grown by 20% or more 22 out of 25 years and has been recognized by Inc. Magazine as an Inc. 500/5000 company eight times since 2002. Less than 1% of all the companies that make the Inc. list have been on it more than 7 times.

Price has grown the business by creating specialty divisions. InDemand Technologies was formed in 2014 and AccuCode 3D was founded in 2015 as the additive manufacturing division.

“Our engineering team now includes electrical engineers, chemists, mechanical engineers and industrial design engineers,” said Price. “Our most recent software as a service division, Jellyfish, is a game changing B2B order and vendor management application, with the potential to be an Amazon-like marketplace.”

The company is on target to break $100 million in revenues in 2020 and is scaling up quickly. According to his colleagues, the accomplishments are a direct result of Price’s advantageous leadership style. His staff said Price is a very down to earth person who takes genuine pleasure in helping others and solving problems.

For Price, collaboration is at the core of AccuCode’s company values. “We don’t have any competitors; only partners that don’t understand how to work with us yet,” he said. “We want to help, and we can. The question is always: Will you let us?”

With trust, AccuCode can change how the customer’s entire industry works, said Price. For 25 years, he has been accurately predicting what technologies were going to be real disruptors and which ones were not. He then successfully created a thoughtful organized plan to capture those opportunities in a way that benefits everyone in the market.

That’s why Price believes that choosing your people carefully makes all the difference. “The right people are those who resonate with your company and your team members,” he said.

As a result of Price’s leadership, the company has been honored with a variety of awards including the ACG Denver Outstanding Emerging Company award in 2018, the 2015 Colorado’s Top 250 Private Companies and the CRN Triple Crown Award, to name a few.

After 25 years of consistent growth, Price said he is ready to grow AccuCode exponentially over the next 25 years. “We are always at the forefront of the next wave of technological disruption,” he said.

For his tremendous success as a technology distributor, leader and visionary, Price has been named a Titan of industry.
