Kris Falkner

President & CEO

Server Products, Inc.

Location: Richfield, WI

Founded: Year 1949

Industry: Foodservice Smallware Manufacturer

Kris Falkner’s personal motto is that you must “get comfortable being uncomfortable.” This motto has helped her embrace the challenging moments in the food service industry and as the president and CEO of Server Products, a food and beverage technology company.

“I strive to convey the message that certain aspects of our roles may not come naturally to everyone, yet I firmly believe that stepping out of your comfort zone, even if it feels uncomfortable, propels progress in any role or position,” said Falkner.

She is well versed when it comes to changing roles. Falkner began her high school and college years working in shipping, assembly, production and inventory management and then transitioned into the role of operating systems administrator. She continued to climb the ladder to achieve the role of president and CEO where she has aimed to enhance the company’s internal capabilities and its competitive market position.

In her role as CEO and president, the company has achieved 91% growth since 2020, primarily due to undertaking proactive measures to adapt by reallocating manufacturing capabilities toward the production of face shields and plexiglass dividers at the onset of the pandemic. “This strategic shift not only enabled us to retain our talented workforce but also contributed to the greater good by providing essential items during a critical time,” she said.

Falkner has embraced the belief that simplicity, efficiency and user-friendliness are frequently overlooked yet critical elements in the adoption of groundbreaking innovations. “Kris envisions this thinking is to be applied to not only the products created by Server Products, but also in the process deployed within the business,” said her colleagues.

In contrast, the food service industry has a long history of being slow or resistant to change. However, under Falkner’s leadership, Server Products has outpaced the Quick Service Restaurant foodservice industry growth by more than double by promoting change. Her efforts have landed Falkner recognition as a Notable Woman in Manufacturing by BizTimes, as well as speaking opportunities to encourage women in business.

“I have a natural desire to challenge the status quo, I have a disdain for hypocrisy, and I have an ability to cut through and see the plainness of things,” said Falkner. “I had to work to earn people’s respect because I keep in mind that I am responsible for the greater good of the business.”

According to her colleagues, it’s Falkner’s compassion that makes her a superhero and a Titan. “I can recognize the feelings that may be at work in others’ minds and hearts,” said Falkner. “This sensitivity fosters humility within me, as it constantly reminds me of my own vulnerabilities and past shortcomings.”

For her dedication and willingness to embrace the uncomfortable, Falkner has been named a Titan.
