Location: Racine County, WI
Founded: 1991
Industry: IT Managed Services Provider

“No one drifts into excellence,” says Patrick Booth, and that’s why he makes a point to step forward, make an impression, and take the initiative.

“My dad taught me that the key to business is networking,” said Booth, the CEO of CCB Technology. “When you show up, don't sit back and wait for the opportunity to happen. Go work the room and be sure to make an impression.

“It's important that I keep meeting new people that I can build relationships with so I can learn and share my own insights. It's important to learn new lessons on how to get out of my comfort zone so I can grow.”

CCB, originally called Consistent Computer Bargains, was founded in 1991 after Booth’s father, Chris Booth, a corporate business executive in the automotive and publishing industries, discovered that nonprofit organizations had significant IT needs yet lacked the necessary funds. Chris Booth secured authorization for charity pricing from major software manufacturers and partnered with Microsoft to write its charity program. With that, the company became the first to provide discounted software pricing exclusively for nonprofits.

Serving nonprofits has and always will be CCB's heartbeat, Patrick Booth said, but the company has evolved in a number of ways over the past quarter century and now serves over 40,000 organizations across the country.

Booth has worked in nine jobs at the company over the last 21 years, rising through the ranks along the way. When Booth was promoted to vice president of sales in 2007, he created sales contests to help bring excitement and passion to the department daily. He launched a president award club to drive competition and celebration.

In 2011, Booth became the executive vice president in order to manage sales, marketing, administration, services and human resources. In 2013, he was promoted to president, adding finance to his responsibilities. In 2018, Booth bought CCB from his parents. “It is an honor to be the second generation to run this family business and carry on the traditions that have been established for 31 years,” he said.

CCB was recognized by the Wall Street Journal as a cloud innovator and was named to the Tech Elite 250 for the fifth consecutive year in 2022 and CRN Solution Provider 500 for the 17th consecutive year. The company was named among Best Places To Work in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2020.

“At CCB we take a disciplined, comprehensive, and systematic approach to everything we do, with a focus on your bottom line,” the company said. “Our national network of over 250 certified NOC engineers, along with our exclusive technologies and monitoring tools, are designed to proactively predict and prevent performance problems in your infrastructure 24/7, 365 days a year.

“We are committed to lowering your total cost of ownership and strategically improving your organization's IT strength, which will enable you to experience the complete breadth of your IT investment.”
