Mike Moore

President
Moore Construction Services, LLC

Location: Waukesha County, WI
Founded: 2007
Industry: Construction

Mike Moore founded Moore Construction Services in 2007, first developing the concept in his kitchen and then purchasing a building right as the Great Recession hit. While the timing was not ideal, Moore persevered, seeking out new leads and getting by on small projects and renovations to keep his small business afloat. Moore sees those struggles as an advantage.

“It enabled us to build a foundation, mission, and solidify our guiding principles before hitting the ground running,” he said. “As in any building, the foundation is key.”

The company pushed through and found better times. In the last year, Moore Construction Services has grown 58% and has added 10 associates to the team as it continues to secure more clients and large projects.

“We develop relationships with our clients, as well as our architects, engineers and subcontractors,” the company said. “As a result, we select professionals who we know will provide the best products and workmanship, completing projects on time and within budget to positively impact lives while meeting our clients’ expectations.”

Expansion is likely on the horizon for the company. When the company’s corporate office was built in 2018, Moore designed it with the foresight of growing into it. Four years later, the company is on the brink of needing to expand it. Moore predicts the need for more office and warehouse space to house the growing team within the next five years.

Both Moore and Moore Construction Services have received a variety of awards, including The President Award in 2015 from the Menomonee Falls Chamber of Commerce; Captain of Industry in 2017 from the Menomonee Falls Chamber of Commerce; Future 50 Fastest Growing Company in 2017, 2018 and 2019 from the MMAC COSBE; Fastest Growing Firm in 2018 and 2019 from the Milwaukee Business Journal; Emerging Business of the Year in 2019 from The Daily Reporter; Business Owner of the Year in 2019 from The Daily Reporter; and Humanitarian of the Year in 2021 from The Chamber.

Moore was named Menomonee Falls Chamber of Commerce President in 2013, Committee Chair of the Industry Advisory Program at University of Wisconsin-Stout in 2018–2019 and Committee Chair at Catholic Memorial High School.

“Mike is most proud of the Humanitarian of the Year award he received from The Chamber last year,” his team said. “He was humbled to be recognized by others in the community as someone who serves his team, family, community and clients. To him, being recognized as a humanitarian is the greatest achievement he could imagine since coming up with Moore Construction Services’ mission to positively impact lives in 2007.”
