CellTrust Corporation

Location: Scottsdale
Founded: 2006
Industry: Security, Software, Telecommunications
*2nd Year Honoree*

Sean Moshir is the chairman, co-founder and CEO of CellTrust Corporation, a pioneering company in the security, software and telecommunications industry.

For years, Moshir said, he was one of those executives who believed his staff needed to be in the office all the time, but that thinking and CellTrust Corporation underwent a significant transformation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Recognizing the productivity and well-being benefits of remote work, Moshir led the company to adopt a work-from-home model, transitioning to a fully virtual organization.

“We meet virtually on a weekly basis and in some teams they meet virtually on a daily basis, and we hold quarterly virtual 'socials' to keep people connected,” Moshir said. “It's been a shift in leadership for me, and I've learned that it doesn't matter where they are physically. As long as they are empowered and passionate about CellTrust, we are good!”

At the same time, the company leveraged the opportunity presented by increased focus on mobile communication security and compliance, helping customers in the financial services and government sectors. By assisting these organizations in meeting regulatory requirements, Moshir and his team ensured their continued success while driving CellTrust's own growth, the company said.

CellTrust's collaboration with Microsoft further solidified its position as a leader in security and compliance. Moshir’s efforts resulted in CellTrust joining the prestigious Microsoft Intelligent Security Association, an ecosystem of top security software vendors, the company said. This integration enhanced CellTrust's ability to provide solutions for security, data protection and compliance on mobile devices.

“In a world with such rapid technological change and AI now set to become ubiquitous, it is vital that leaders, especially leaders within the technology sector, look to see how technology can serve humanity at all levels,” Moshir said. “With this pioneering era, l believe leading with open communication and transparency, where goals and objectives are clearly defined and backed up with a high level of ongoing communication and engagement, is an essential leadership attribute.”
This is the second time Moshir has been named to the Phoenix Titan 100 list. He said he has begun to mentor the next generation of leaders at CellTrust.

“I've been developing the next generation of business developers to follow in my footsteps,” Moshir said. “I take them to the exhibitions and conferences and make sure they have the thought leadership platform they need to succeed. I also introduce them to my network so that they can independently represent CellTrust into the future and then continuously let them know that I am there to support them if needed.”

Sean loves owning and driving exotic, fast cars. He's also a big fan of living and doing business in Arizona. I've lost count over the last twenty years as to the number of times investors have tried to get me to move one of my companies out of Arizona to California, says Moshir. He persisted to remain loyal to his home state and began working with the Arizona Technology Council, the Arizona Commerce Authority to build a pipeline of aspiring software engineers and cybersecurity experts in Arizona.
