President & CEO
Location: St. Louis, MO
Industry: Recruitment & HR
In 1995, as a newly single mom of two children, Teresa Katubig grew a company from the ground up in less-than-ideal circumstances by opening first as a temporary employment agency with a credit card and a prayer. By 2001, she expanded her business to include payroll services and today continues to grow and garner industry praise as the president and CEO of HireLevel.
HireLevel is a certified women-owned business and full-service human capital management firm that supports clients from deep channel recruiting and high-volume staffing to workforce and engagement management. The firm is a total HR solutions partner from recruitment to retirement.
“Her story is the American Dream at its best,” said her staff. “Teresa is in constant pursuit of taking her dream to the next level and believes that success is all about being better, working smarter and reaching higher.”
According to Katubig, being cutting edge is one thing, but being consistent is an even more powerful thing. “Each day, I start with myself, then my team and from there I challenge us all to move into our communities and change lives,” she said. “That old saying that ‘it takes a village’ holds so much truth when it comes to leading the way.”
With Katubig leading the way, HireLevel is focused on strategic growth with a national accounts team that expands to 20+ states and two additional locations in Tennessee and North Carolina. The goal over the next five years is to upsell current clients, establish customer relationships with mid-market organizations and drive human capital management to $7.5 million by 2025.
The road to success is to lead by example and influence other leaders to bring visions to life, according to Katubig. This is why Katubig intertwines her personal compassion for people and motto to remember your community with her professional goals and vision for her company. Through this motto, the team was inspired to develop the American Staffing Association recognized social responsibility initiative.
“Teresa has inspired employees to make a positive impact, working for the greater good, through monetary donation and volunteer opportunities,” said her staff. “She also believes in empowering female leaders, supporting women with families, and making it easier for women to have two dreams by establishing a baby-at-work program to retain top talent.”
Her efforts have led to recognition as one of the Enterprising Women of the Year by Enterprising Women’s Magazine and as one of the Most Admired Business Leaders by Small Business Monthly. For her contributions to the community and the recruitment and HR industry, Katubig has been named a Titan.
Teresa is a die-hard Cardinals fan and loves vacationing in Florida.
