Samantha Gauch is described by her staff as a leader who knows that there are no shortcuts to excellence. Embracing grit, passion and perseverance, Gauch, loves making a difference. “Five minutes with Samantha and you know that she loves real estate, you know that she loves the company she works for, and you know that she loves her team,” said her staff. “Her years of experience at a variety of real estate companies and in a variety of roles have given her an exceptional knowledge base.”
This experience, passion and grit has aided Gauch well as the Chief Operating Officer at MRP Capital Group. MRP Capital Group is a private equity real estate firm focused on acquiring dominant retail shopping centers next to high-performing Walmart Supercenters in secondary and tertiary markets across the United States. MRP is currently the largest landlord in this niche with more than 65 properties encompassing about 2 million square feet across 24 states.
“I attribute my ability to remain influential and an industry leader to my peers and leaders, both past and present,” said Gauch. “I am a compilation, shaped and molded by them and I intend to pay it forward, inspiring others to turn toward truly human leadership.
Gauch said that the influential power leaders possess over each others’ lives is infinitely more impactful than any task at hand. “We wield the power to help shape the whole individual, professional and personally,” she said. “Every day, we have the power to inspire others to achieve more, to be open to differences, and to accept objections respectfully.”
With Gauch at the helm, the team at MRP Capital Group has created impressive efficiencies and worked hard to build departments that can grow and support a large portfolio. Over the next five years, the company plans to continue investing in small-town America through the Walmart-anchored shopping center strategy and make impact through resilient strategies and scaling Walmart Shadow Centers to an institutional size.
Gauch’s experience and leadership style will be paramount for these efforts. However, according to her staff, Gauch is the natural choice when a question arises and a problem needs to be solived. “Samantha is an exceptional team player, continuously rooting for the success of every one of her colleagues and offering her guidance and assistance whenever needed,” they said.
For her commitment to promoting success in the private equity industry, Gauch has been named a Titan.
