Founder / CEO
Location: St. Louis, MO
After 15 years of full-time active duty in the military, John Zarbock decided to pursue his passion and start a personal training business. He did so against the better advice of his most trusted confidants, invested $40,000 of his own savings and walked door-to-door in St. Louis attempting to build a business from nothing.
“I started this business with the philosophy that the purpose of life is to live life with a purpose,” said Zarbock. “My purpose is helping humans reach and find their self-actualization through strength training and discovering the difference between what one thinks they can accomplish and what they can actually accomplish.”
By 2016, the CEO co-founded BioFit StL to revolutionize the future of exercise. BioFit STL is short for Biohacking Fitness, a state-of-the-art strength training and overall health and wellness studio that focuses on results. The company utilizes some of the most state-of-the-art aerobic and anaerobic exercise equipment in the fitness industry to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of client workouts in just one to two 30-minute sessions per week.
Under Zarbock’s leadership, the company has partnered with health experts across the wellness industry to build a better and stronger community by building better and stronger individuals.
“John is a true leader,” said his business partner Andrew Burr. “But more than just a leader, he is a teacher and a friend with a passion for health and fitness. He genuinely cares about the success and well-being of each and every client we have.”
As an up-and-comer in the fitness world, Zarbock has brought to St. Louis a technology and an ideology that is changing the landscape of fitness in the area. “John’s reputation in the industry is quickly growing and there is a reason BioFit has an 80% closing rate – because the recipe works,” said his business partner Burr.
The growth of the company with two locations is attributed to Zarbock’s passion. BioFit has now logged the most workouts on ARX equipment in the world and owns more ARX machines than any other studio in the United States. Zarbock has been interviewed by national fitness podcasts and radio stations and was recently invited to the Operators Roundtable at the Annual Resistance Exercise Conference in Las Vegas.
What Zarbock is most proud of is his client testimonials. According to his staff: “He cares more about helping others achieve results and better themselves than he does any personal accolades. That’s what makes him a Titan.”
John was once a body builder and avid 2-3 times per day gym guy. He now works outs for less than 20 minutes a week.
