According to Cindy Murdoch, a company’s drive and spirit is a simple philosophy of doing the right thing in all aspects of the business. “The culture should center around the company’s cores and commitments, highlighting the integrity in which they do business and the character of their people,” said Murdoch.

As the chief human resources officer of Booksource, Murdoch has a commitment to hiring and developing a team of passionate, performance-oriented professionals who love to win and make a positive difference. “She knows we all have the ability to make a positive impact, and Booksource is a place where what you do really does matter,” said her staff.

Booksource is the leading provider of curated classroom libraries to schools around the world. “Cindy is a Titan because she joined Booksource at a time of great growth and transition and will bring her experience to help fulfill the institutionalization of our success as outlined in our vision for the future,” said her staff. “Her passion for development, retention and employee engagement, coupled with her executive savvy is right for the current moment we find ourselves in.”

Murdoch’s role at Booksource rounds out the new executive team that took hold for 2021. “Cindy is positioned to help move us to the next level as we continue to grow,” said her staff. Her experience spans from serving as the VP of client relations at Aon, the vice president of human resources at Nature’s Variety and the Centric Group and president of Murdoch Consulting Group.

“Finding the perfect match between a company with passion and purpose and candidates with the right skills, experience and drive to connect the two ends is always Cindy’s commitment to making a difference at each company,” said her staff. “At Booksource, she has implemented new strategies around talent, career cultivation, HR business partnerships, employee and community engagements, as well as culture and DEI initiatives.”

Murdoch also serves as an example to her staff with her philanthropic work with the Smiles of Hope family foundation that offers funds for cleft lip/palate patient and family assistance while funding research studies. Her goal is to make a difference one smile at a time as a parent of a child born with a unilateral cleft lip and palate.

For her commitment to Booksource, the community and her philanthropic passions, Murdoch has been named a Titan.
