Alonzo Q. Ford says that focusing on significance yields success.

“Significance results from relentless focus, service and teamwork,” said Ford, CEO, Lowe’s Guardian Angel, a provider of Medicaid personal care home services in the southeast United States. “It has been reinforced from my earliest lessons in the military, corporate business and entrepreneurship.”

Ford’s journey with Lowe’s Guardian Angel (LGA) begins with his maternal grandmother, Lucy Brown, who opened Brown’s Rest Home, which she ran until 1996. Touched by Brown’s heart of compassion, Ford and several family members opened Lowe’s Guardian Angel in 2005. Today, LGA continues to enhance the lives of the disabled and elderly through Personal Care Homes, Community Living Arrangements, and a Day Recreation Center.

The vision of Lowe’s Guardian Angel is to create 10,000 best lives. The company strives to accomplish this over the next five years by adding 60 homes, 240+ beds in the community to care for adults with disabilities, providing solid retirements and exits for existing business owners by creating value, operational efficiency, scale.

LGA’s plan is to acquire Medicaid and private paid personal care homes, assisted living, and group homes. LGA will help the individuals and residents live their best lives by deploying its angels to focus on their enjoyment and well-being and help the community by providing meaningful jobs.

The company is based in Georgia, with plans to add more homes in Georgia and expand into the Carolinas, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. LGA is already in communication with companies or brokers that operate in each of these states/regions. The company will leverage its real estate structuring expertise, business development and marketing, recruiting, training and retention best practices, operational processes efficiency, technological efficiency, and compliance.

Alonzo's favorite hobbies are travel and enjoying fine tequila with friends. He has been to 5 continents and 48 US states including Hawaii and Alaska, and has enjoyed some of the best tequilas in the world. He plans to round out this list with 6 continents and 50 states within the next 4 years.
