As president and chief executive officer of Innovative Financing Solutions, Michael Ryan led the company to several milestones, setting records in commercial loan production and earning recognition as an endorsed service provider by the Pennsylvania Bankers Association.
“IFS’s mission centers on providing customized financing solutions that empower both lenders and businesses to overcome financing challenges and achieve their financial goals,” the company said. “Ryan and his team focus on thinking differently, fostering innovation and maintaining a ‘can do’ attitude,” the company said.
In the coming year, IFS expects to continue its steady growth, with revenues projected to more than double, resulting in strong earnings growth and sustainable cash flow. The company’s growth strategy includes expanding its target market area to attract new clients, particularly community banks and credit unions. IFS also plans to pursue strategic acquisitions of direct competitors and complementary businesses to diversify its services and revenue streams. These expansion plans will include doubling the workforce in the next three to five years.
Under Ryan’s leadership, IFS has developed shared organizational values that guide every team member’s actions and decisions. These values include cooperation and teamwork, integrity and ethics, commitment to quality, security and confidentiality of client information, outstanding service delivery, staff morale and motivation, trust and openness, and visionary and principled leadership.
“Great leadership takes a combination of skills that includes the ability to influence and motivate others, to build trust through openness and understanding, encourage their team to innovate and take personal risk,” Ryan said. “The leader must demonstrate integrity, must be accountable, decisive and resilient.”
IFS engages with local universities, hiring and training undergraduate and graduate interns and supporting various university initiatives through financial support and staff donations of time. Ryan said that when the company faces a complex problem, it takes a collaborative approach to address it.
“We solve complex problems through a team approach, bringing in those team members with the knowledge and expertise to work through difficult and complex issues,” Ryan said. “We define and analyze the problem with the intent of developing and evaluating a solution(s) and then implement the best solution and measure the results.”
This is Ryan’s second time on the Titan 100 list.
