Faraz Khan has made it his mission to raise awareness in the financial industry about sustainable, renewable energy and green financing. This segues with his goals as chief financial officer of Vision Solar LLC.
Vision Solar is a solar energy and solar panel installation company. Khan was tapped to join Vision Solar’s executive team as CFO in 2020 and has more than 20 years of experience in the solar industry. He previously was senior director of corporate finance at Hardinge Inc. “I think it is a great time to join the renewable energy revolution,” Khan said. “Because of this, I am excited to become a part of Vision Solar’s success, while helping them grow with the right financial discipline.”
Khan has played a crucial role in Vision Solar’s growth. He helped develop a robust accounting department and financial partnerships with firms that help solar customers with loans.
The company plans to expand nationwide and transition to a regional office model in the coming years. The business follows a set of guiding principles that include: customers are most important; we leave it better than we found it; we are family; we are accountable; no excuses.
The company believes no one should be punished for having bad credit or limited resources. “We want to save our customers money and do it in a way that makes solar energy, clean energy, available to everyone,” the company said. “As a result, consumers can save between 25–50% on their monthly utilities while working toward a more sustainable future for the next generation.”
