Executive Board Member / CEO
Aircraft Performance Group, LLC

Location: Castle Rock, CO
Founded: 1999
Industry: Aviation/Aerospace

Michael Caflisch believes in acting purposefully by treating change management the same as program management. “Review and adjust your strategy and formulate options to embrace the change head-on,” he said. As the CEO of Aircraft Performance Group, LLC, since 2014, Caflisch has embraced change by taking a startup to the next level of growth and success.

Established in 1999, Aircraft Performance Group, LLC, provides technical flight operations engineering software services to commercial aviation, business aviation and general aviation pilots and aircraft operators. During his tenure as the CEO, Caflisch has worked with his team to support hundreds of customers and thousands of aircrafts around the world with products and services that meet a gold standard.

He plans to continue building on this success using his experience at both small and large aviation companies. “As the company’s CEO, leveraging my experience as a former Boeing executive with
a 40-year history in aviation, M&A and corporate strategy, Aircraft Performance Group was transformed with a results-oriented culture and an organization sophistication that is rarely found in businesses this size,” said Caflisch.

It’s the go-forward vision and strategy that has led the company to become the premiere provider of technical flight operations services to the charter, business and regional airline community worldwide. Caflisch has led these efforts by continuing to develop successful working relationships with prominent aircraft OEMs and representation at training events and trade shows.

For Caflisch, establishing a recognizable brand name and strong reputation has been and always be one of his top priorities as CEO. Under his leadership, the business has grown to support over 12,000 individua aircrafts worldwide with a database of over 9,000 airports and technical support that is recognized in the industry. However, he credits his committed team.

“It would not have been possible without a strong supporting cast of industry professionals who are dedicated to our mission,” said Caflisch. “For that, I will be forever grateful.”

In addition to supporting his team, Caflisch also believes in learning from the past when leading. “Real world leadership doesn’t come from books, but rather is developed over time and through different experiences,” he said. “We need to look for increasingly challenging situations to learn from, grow and mature as a leader.”

For always seeking out and stepping up to the challenge as a leader, Caflisch has been named a Titan of industry.
